Letter seeking support

I know nothing about this organization, but I think the letter, received this week is self-explanatory.

Dear Mr. Morris,
I hope this past weekend has treated you well. In case it was buried in your inbox, I’m writing to follow up on an earlier communication regarding alumni support of Yale undergraduates in research.
My name is Sami Elrazky; I am a junior-year student at Yale College and I write to you as the President of the Yale Undergraduate Research Association (YURA), a student group and non-profit organization dedicated to increasing undergraduate participation in research at Yale and improving the undergraduate research experience. We host undergraduate research work at the biannual Yale Undergraduate Research Symposiums, publish the Yale Undergraduate Research Journal, maintain the Research Database, which allows students to easily find research groups and laboratories, and run the Graduate-Undergraduate Mentorship Initiative, the largest mentorship program at Yale – or any of its peer institutions. During this time, we are humbly requesting the support of the Yale alumni at the Yale Club of Vermont to fund the continuation and further development of each of our initiatives. With the support of your members, we hope to bolster the undergraduate research experience by continuing to provide scholastic opportunities to Yale students entering the exciting world of research.  We would be very grateful if you could share this message with the members and affiliates of the Yale Club of Vermont. Funding of any amount (although $100-200 would go very far) would be incredibly appreciated, and would go directly towards supporting young researchers and fostering excellence in the next generation of investigators. We would, of course, be happy to work out any branded sponsorships or partnerships. Our website is yura.yale.edu and a summary of YURA’s initiatives and impact can be found here. If you would be interested, I would greatly appreciate a moment of your time to further discuss YURA’s mission and how alumni partnerships with YURA can make a big difference in the Yale undergraduate research community.  Additionally, donations can be made directly throughthis link. If it is of any interest, YURA is a 501(c)3 registered tax-exempt nonprofit, and any donations made on behalf of an individual or business would be tax-deductible. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,Sami Elrazky
