This discussion will be led by H.E. Ceu Brites, Vice Minister of Social Solidarity and
Inclusion for Timor-Leste. She will offer a brief overview of strategies that Timor-Leste
has employed to transition from a prolonged period of conflict to a state of inclusive
peacebuilding, including social solidarity as a means of sustaining peace. A former
refugee herself, the Vice Minister now represents her country at United Nations
conferences.
