Yale Law School Announces Tuition-Free Scholarships for Highest Need Students Posted by Alecia Coffin On Feb. 21, the Law School announced the creation of Hurst Horizon Scholarship Program, which will erase tuition for J.D. students with the greatest financial need for generations to come. Beginning this fall, the Law School will provide approximately 45–50 full-tuition scholarships to eligible J.D. students in the Classes of 2023, 2024, and 2025. The program builds on a comprehensive financial aid model that supports 77% of our current students. Dean Heather K. Gerken said she hopes to expand the program in the years ahead, and is optimistic that the new scholarship program will inspire a shift in how aid is allocated at law schools across the country. |
